Coastal Rehabilitation:

Our current activities have been supported or stimulated by the following plans:

  • Prevelly Foreshore Management Plan
  • Coastal Management Plan
  • Riflebutts Concept Plan
  • Surfers Point Design Group.

Current activities include:

  • On-going rehabilitation along the Gnarabup/Prevelly pathway
  • Working with Curtin University Volunteers focusing on the dunal system of Grunters Beach
  • Cape to Cape Volunteers along Gnarabup/Pathway and elsewhere
  • Greencorps liaison
  • Working with Margaret River Senior High School, Primary School and Montessori students in coast care.

Community Social Health:

Current activities have been supported or stimulated by:

  • Riflebutts Concept Plan
  • Surfers Point Design Group
  • Community Playground Survey attached
  • Community requests and input.

Future Directions:

As an incorporated body, we are ideally suited to access funds and work in partnership with the wider community, corporate bodies and our local Government to achieve:

  • On-going ground work to increase the quality of coastal rehabilitation and protection of our coast while providing appropriate access for tourists and residents to these areas.
  • Increased coast care education.
  • Assisting the community to access funds for infrastructure on Gnarabup Oval, including a multi-purpose community hall.
  • Fulfill the community desired outcomes of both the Riflebutts Concept Plan and the Surfers Point Design Group Concept Plan e.g. to maintain the link path between Riflebutts and Surfer’s Point.
